THE AGENCY - Scripted Love

Scripts about love and romance in a neoliberal western society are the topic of the workshop that THE AGENCY is offering during the Industry Get-Together. In Scripted Love, THE AGENCY invites you to examine the dialogs, settings, images and dramaturgies of romantic love using texts, (Disney) films, songs, TV series and the Internet. Working both together and in smaller work groups, the goal will be to investigate the increasing interconnection of love, structures of desire and economic and to mentally further develop them in the style of science fiction. What could a complete capitalization of emotions look like? What is romantic love worth to as a perfect service? Why do we prefer the fake instead of desperately attempting to copy and paste the dialogs from Hollywood into our lives? The workshop will continue with the question of what different, new, queer scripts on love could look like as well as how the code of romance can be hacked and reprogrammed.
