Kollektive Neuausrichtung #1 Verweigerung (Collective Reorientation #1 Refusal) – Opening of the Temporary Library

During the Industry Get-Together, a temporary library and speaker’s corner will be created in motion*s Tanzstudio in Aufbau Haus where books and texts on the topics of idleness, negative performance, the refusal of relevance, silence and secrecy will be collected, set aside for others to browse through as well as read aloud or discussed.

With it diverse opportunities for networking and optimization, the Industry Get-Together forms the ideal backdrop for the staged attempt to escape the dictatorship of the active once and for all collectively and to “waste” time through “hesitation”, “quitting” and “not doing anything”, or, perhaps, to actually use it…

We ask everyone who has books or texts on these topics to bring them and share them with others – either by setting your books aside on Friday and Saturday for others to browse through or by reading them aloud. The library is continuously staffed.

The temporary library serves as a means of preparation for the workshop and discussion format that will be held on Saturday, October 10 under the title Collective Reorientation #1 Refusal/“Yes, I CAN’T that Zeitgenössiche Tanz Berlin conceived together with Dr. Alice Lagaay.
