Artist Visas and Other Legal Residency Questions: Workshop for Artists from Non-EU Countries in Berlin
Freelance artists from non-EU countries and from Croatia have the opportunity to receive a residency permit within the context of their activities under certain circumstances. The so-called artist visa after completing a course of studies is the classic example.The legal situation with the relevant laws and regulations will be explained in the workshop: §§ 18 and 21 of the German Residency Law, the German Employment Ordinance and others. Communication with the Foreigners' Registration Office (Ausländerbehörde) is another focus. Examples will be given and the questions of the participants will be answered.
The workshop will be conducted in German. Questions can also be asked in English or Spanish. Number of participants: 8 – 12Artists from non-EU countries as well as Croatia working in all fields are eligible to participate. The workshop is free of charge but registration is required and the registration fees of the European Social Fund (ESF) must be paid. Workshop leader: Petra Isabel Schlagenhauf works in Berlin as a lawyer with a focus on laws on foreigners and asylum seekers, criminal law and family law.
