Attention and Adaptation in Working Processes in Contemporary Circus
Attention and Adaptation in Working Processes in Contemporary Circus
The focus of this workshop is facilitating a reflection upon our methods of production in contemporary circus. In the first part, we will take the time to look at our own working methods and check what functions well and where resistances are encountered. Where do I always come into the same conflicts with myself or with others? In the second part, the idea of “cyclical work” will be presented and a sketch for individual working processes, collaborations in groups and communication will be created. In doing so, the following question will guide us: how can I adapt my everyday workday more to my life and my body instead of continuously adapting my body to external structures and circumstances? The goal is to design a process that can work with the body instead of working against it. Alongside theoretical discussions and input, we will also work physically with the idea of a cycle and do some exercises.
In German and English spoken language.
