How to show yourself: Creating performance documentations

Filming movement intensive art such as dance, performance or circus is a challenge in and of itself - and editing the material obtained into exciting teasers or reels is even more so. Can you do it yourself? But of course! You do not have to be digital pro in order to create good video material for the distribution of your own work - often, all you need is a smartphone, a simple editing program and a little bit of know-how. In the first part of the three-day workshop, the participants will learn about different filming techniques and will work on filming bodies in movement using different equipment. In the second part, we will look at the proper editing of productions, trailers and other formats; existing material can be brought in for this or material filmed at the beginning can be used. In addition, the workshop provides space for exchange and feedback about the material and the edited results as well as the suitable format for various forms of self-marketing. All participants should bring a laptop, cellphone, comfortable clothing and film material with them.
