Symposium: Performing Arts in the Open Air!
Symposium: Performing Arts in the Open Air!
We are moving things outside and talking about it!
A second summer is coming to an end in which everything has been different than it was before. Where the huge number of uncertainties stood at the forefront last year, new, innovative formats in unusual locations have shaped the open air summer of 2021. What experiences have artists, culture makers and allies from institutions collected? What do we want to keep from these experiences, forget or further develop?
Artists, groups and production locations such as Jule Gorke (hannsjana), Lukas Matthaei (matthaei & konsorten) as well as Dennis Depta and Marielle Sterra (glanz&krawall) will present their current ideas and projects, share their experiences and put them in context with architectures and funding conditions.
Alexandra von Samson (event technology master, DEKRA hygiene officer for clubs, bars, event gastronomy and events) reports from her many years of experience in the realization of largescale open air events with regard to questions of accessibility. Representatives of advocacy groups such as Jana Korb (Bundesverband Theater im Öffentlichen Raum, the German Federal Association for Theater in Public Space) will report on the rapid developments and changes.
Allies from funding institutions and administrations such as Steffen Klewar (Fonds Darstellende Künste) and Yann-Olivier Kersaint (Projektfonds Urbane Künste) will present the challenges in developing reasonable framework conditions and funding instruments for the summer of 2021 at short notice.
Important Information for Registration
The programming will take place as a live event at the Refugio Berlin – in order to participate, a same-day negative COVID-19 quick test result with corresponding certification is mandatory. A list of nearby testing stations will be provided upon registration.
