Team Work - Scenography in the Independent Performing Arts Community – From Concept to Realization

With just a few resources, the right decisions and the necessary know-how, fantastic scenography can be achieved in the excellently networked performing arts community of Berlin!

But how?

What are the special characteristics of working within the independent performing arts community for stage and costume designers? How can one work well without permanent structures (scene shops, costume shops, et cetera) and correspondingly plan budgets to take this into account? What networks, forums and collections already exist? This consultation session is intended to help artists (scenographers as well as artistic directors and performers) to calculate the necessary budget for scenography and to receive pointers for realization. This session is intended for dance, spoken word theater and performances as well as for video work.

In addition, the workshop will provide comprehensive information regarding the various opportunities for study and further education and the search for suitable internships for those changing fields and newcomers to the community.
